Byrd Latham
Byrd Latham received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1964 and has been engaged in the practice of law in Limestone County since that time.
He is past president of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association and is still active in the National Alumni Association affairs. He is the former Chairman of the University of Alabama Law School Foundation Board, and former Chair of the Farrah Law Society.
He has also served on the board of Reliance Bank and was the first of Chairman of that Board. Mr. Latham is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the School Board Lawyers Association and was named the 2009 Pipes Distinguished Alumnus by The University of Alabama School of Law.
He has over 50 years of experience in civil litigation, corporate, probate and domestic representation.

James Moffatt
Jim Moffatt received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1982 and has been practicing in Limestone County since that time. He is a public defender in Limestone County and is a member of many different associations including the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Moffatt formally served on the Athens-Limestone Hospital Board of Directors. He also has served on many community service boards in a variety of capacities including the Athens-Limestone Aging Foundation board of directors, the CASA board of directors and the board of the Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority.
He has over 35 years of experience in civil litigation, corporate, probate and domestic representation.

Meg Wynn Bowers
Meg Wynn Bowers began her career with Latham Moffatt in 2024. She currently handles matters of criminal defense and family law. Meg's primary goal is to advocate for her clients and ensure they know she is fighting for them every step of the way. She is honored to help people navigate their legal challenges with compassion and professionalism.
Meg attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 2018 with a criminology and criminal justice degree. She graduated from Faulkner University's Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2021.
Meg is originally from Alabaster, AL, and resides in Athens, AL with her husband, Keifer, and their two dogs, Loki and Winston. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Alabama football, and spending time with family and friends.
